HP PSC 1110 All-in-One
This all-in-one product software utility will resolve print cartridge compatibility issues. This update is intended only for use with the HP PSC 1100, 1200 and 1300 series all-in-ones that exhibit print Cartridge Compatibility problems.
The signs of print Cartridge Compatibility issues when the PSC is powered on are:
The unit s Check Print Cartridge light blinks.
The unit s Check Paper light is off.
When running Status from the HP Director of Display Status from the HP task tray icon, this message shows up: The color or black print cartridge detected is the wrong type.
If your HP PSC 1100, 1200 or 1300 series unit exhibits all three of these signs, verify your p
rint cartridges are installed correctly. If the problem persists, install this software to fix this issue.
Installation Instructions for Windows 2000 and Windows XP Operating Systems
Download the file HpCartrdigeCompatibilityWin2KXP_v2.exe to a local hard drive. Make note where in which folder the file gets copied.
The hp all-in-one software for the PSC 1100, 1200 or 1300 series must be installed on your PC before installing this firmware update. The PSC 1100, 1200 or 1300 series must also be connected to your PC and turned on before proceeding.
Locate the file HpCartrdigeCompatibilityWin2KXP_v2.exe on your hard drive and double-click the file to launch the installer. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the utility on your computer s desktop.
Once this is complete you will see the HP Cartridge Compatibility Utility icon on your computer s desktop
Double click the icon to launch the utility. Carefully read and follow the instructions to execute the utility.
Once the utility has executed your printer may print out a self-test or alignment page.
If you have difficulty finding the update or running it, please contact hp customer support.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
In the unlikely event of a system or program crash simply press the On/Resume button on the printer and re-run the utility.
In certain situations you may be prompted for your operating system s software and/or your PSC s printer software.

This document provides details on the scanner products that have driver and/or software support for the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system. Some older Scanjet products have limited, basic feature software support only based on customer demand and the continued evolution of technology standards. Use the following information to find out the level of support offered for your product and where to obtain it.

For some products there are multiple driver types you can select depending on the environment:
Full feature software and driver - Recommended where available, the full feature software is either included on HP Win 7 CD/DVD that came with a new product or is available for download from www.hp.com. It provides HP Solution Center or HP Scanning software applications.
Basic feature driver Basic driver - This download can be used when no other solution is available to provide basic Windows Imaging Application WIA features.
Smart Document Scan software TWAIN - For use by customers that do not have imaging applications and need TWAIN-compatible software. SDSS 2.x requires downloading and installing the ISIS driver and the SDSS software. SDSS 3.x requires downloading and installing the TWAIN only and SDSS software.
Kofax Virtual ReScan VRS software ISIS - Download for use by customers that require the document-processing features of Kofax VRS. Requires downloading and installing both the ISIS driver and the Kofax VRS.
ISIS/TWAIN - Download including driver and utilities only no scan application for both ISIS and TWAIN for use by customers with both ISIS-compatible AND TWAIN-compatible imaging applications.
ISIS - Download including driver and utilities only no scan application for use by customers with ISIS-compatible imaging applications.
TWAIN - Download including driver and utilities only no scan application for use by customers with TWAIN-compatible imaging applications.
